Instructions

Step 1: Cutting Marble Contact Paper

  • Cut the Marble Contact paper to 26″ x 26″ (Table top is ~21.5″ x ~21.5″)

Step 2: Prepping Table Top

Method # 1 Windex & Squeegee

  • Take out the Table Top from the packaging and spray Windex over the top. This allows you to move the contact paper around easily.
  • Use a squeegee to remove all the Windex underneath when the paper is centered.
  • Once the top has been attached start attaching the contact paper to the edge of the table top.
  • Use an X-Acto Knife to cut off the corner contact paper. Be careful! These knives are super sharp.
  • Use a credit card or something with a straight edge to smooth out the contact paper and remove as many air bubbles as possible.

Method # 2 No Windex or Squeegee

  • This method might be better at preventing air bubbles.
  • Start on one edge and peel back the contact paper sticker and start attaching to the table top.
  • Use a credit card or something with a straight edge to smooth out the contact paper and to remove air bubbles.
  • Use an X-Acto Knife to cut off the corner contact paper. Be careful! These knives are super sharp.

Step 3: Attach Table Legs

  • The IKEA Lack Side Table comes with 4 screws and no other tools required to assemble. Screw on all 4 legs with provided screws. This will complete your beautiful IKEA Marble Side Table.
